The 605 Principal- April Newsletter

As we prepare to turn the calendar to May, our schools begin to take on a unique energy... One that blends reflection, celebration, and just the right amount of urgency to finish the year strong. The weeks ahead are filled with meaningful milestones: end-of-year assessments, student celebrations, transitions, and the countless small moments that define a school year well lived.

One of the highlights of this season is Teacher Appreciation Week, a time to recognize the extraordinary impact educators have on the lives of our students each and every day. Across South Dakota, teachers continue to show up with unwavering dedication, creativity, and care- meeting the diverse needs of their students while building classrooms rooted in belonging and growth. As leaders, this is our opportunity to intentionally celebrate, uplift, and thank those who make our schools shine. In this month's newsletter, get some ideas on how to show appreciation to staff, and more!

As exciting as this time of year is, it can also be exhausting. As you lead your teams through these final weeks, may you find moments to pause, celebrate, and take pride in the difference your school community has made.
