On behalf of the South Dakota Association of Elementary School Principals (SDAESP) I would like to welcome you to our website.  I am the current President of SDAESP for the 2016-2017 school year.  Serving as President of SDAESP is a great honor and I look forward to doing all that I can to enhance and grow our great organization. Those of you that are members visiting this site, we cannot thank you enough for your involvement and support of SDAESP.  If you are not a current member, I would encourage you to consider joining.  SDAESP is focused on assisting elementary principals in the state of South Dakota by providing professional development at our annual Principals' Conference; advocacy at the State Capitol through our participation in Legislative Committees and at the Delegate Assembly, and support of elementary principals through assisting our Areas Representatives, email contacts and networking many of our events.

We hope that SDAESP will help our members succeed and grow which in turn will impact the teachers in their buildings and ultimately have a lasting impact on students...the reason any of us are in this profession.

Please look around our new website and explore the tabs to find out who are the members of our Executive Board and Area Representatives. Coming soon will be more information about our annual conference which will be held April 5th - 7th, 2017 in Spearfish and will feature speaker Jim Warford (find out more about Jim at: https://jimwarford.com

We want this website to be useful for our members and for those visiting and considering becoming members.  Please contact me if you would like more information about SDAESP or have questions or concerns about our website.

Best wishes on a great 2016-2017 School year!

Matt Alley - SDAESP President
